A Charlotte storytelling gathering

We are the only species that heals through storytelling.

Real stories, spoken out loud and held with care. Come share one, or come listen. Both are medicine.

Next gathering

Thursday, August 6 · 7:00 to 9:00 pm

VisArt Video · 3104 Eastway Dr, Charlotte

Free. No tickets. Just stories, healing, and connection.

What to expect

First time at a storytelling gathering? You are welcome exactly as you are. Here is what the room is like.

Listeners are welcome

Most people come to listen. Holding space for someone else's story is its own way of showing up, and the room needs listeners as much as speakers.

No pressure to speak

Share if you feel called. Nobody is handed the mic who did not ask for it, and simply being there is enough.

A trigger guardian is present

Steve Blahitka, MA, LMFT, LCAS-A, a licensed therapist, attends our gatherings so heavy moments are met with real care.

Free, always

No tickets, no cover. An RSVP just helps us know how many chairs to set out.

Come as you are

Maybe you carry a story someone out there needs to hear. Maybe you are here to listen and learn. Maybe you want to help create space for others.

The heart of the gathering

Share your story

The gift we carry is often born from the pain we survived. If your story feels ready to be spoken, we would be honored to hold space for it.

Tell us you feel called

Listen and hold space

Healing does not happen in isolation. A room that listens well is what makes sharing possible.
